Why work with Chloe?
Finding a therapist in Oakland is overwhelming. So here's what I'm all about: truly connecting with you, helping you feel seen and understood, validating your concerns, providing a nonjudgmental space to process thoughts, and teaching new, productive ways to deal with problems and unhelpful behaviors. Sometimes it's hard to even name what your problems are. I help you get clarity by asking thoughtful questions and digging deep to unpack difficult feelings. We will talk about things that are bothering you and explore new ways of approaching them. I really get to know you to help you feel supported and empowered to make changes.
I specialize in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you learn to relate to your mind in a different way so you don't feel jerked around by your feelings. When you feel anchored in what's important to you and clear on the type of person you want to be, it helps you make better decisions. ACT with me helps you get there.
Things I help clients with include confidence, relationship problems, burnout, infertility, work problems, dating, parenting, loneliness, and figuring out your next step. Lack of motivation, low self-esteem, body image issues, problems with friends/family, and career pivots are also areas I frequently work with. Book a free consultation today to learn more!
Mental Health Therapy using ACT
What is Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)?
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) has proven to be effective with a wide range of mental health problems including stress, depression, panic attacks, grief/loss, phobias, low self esteem, and insomnia, just to name a few.
ACT teaches us how to have space from your thoughts so you can more intentionally choose what you say and do, rather than be ruled by emotions. It also has coping skills to deal with painful feelings and move through them in a helpful way.
Using ACT, I will help you create mindfulness skills to unravel unhelpful thinking patterns that block you from your greatest potential. I will help you explore and clarify what’s most important to you so that you can have a compass to guide you whenever you are lost or stuck.
How do I know if I need therapy?
If you’ve been struggling with the same problems for years, then psychotherapy can help you find some answers.

Perhaps you’ve tried to heal using books, online advice, friends, or social media. In therapy with me, you get custom-tailored care just for you.

Confidential & Safe
I am a licensed clinical social worker in the San Francisco Bay Area with over 15 years of professional experience in mental health. In my practice, your confidentiality and privacy is my priority.
Supportive environment
Too often our feelings and experiences are invalidated by society, our family and friends. The cornerstone of our therapy together will be to help you feel heard and understood in an atmosphere of legitimization and respect. Together, we can find insight and direction.
Relatable and transparent
Finding your path can be a little scary sometimes. Full of uncertainty. Lack of answers. The unknown. If you are tired of the “what-if”, then together we can only go forward and upward.
