  • Yes! I love seeing clients in-person at my office in Temescal. It really helps with building our connection. But I also see clients virtually; about 1/3 of my clients meet remotely.

  • I meet with clients every week. Sometimes you or I may be on vacation and have to skip but an important policy my clients commit to is to make every attempt to reschedule appointments, rather than cancel altogether.

The primary reason for this is to keep our progress moving! Secondly, I hold your therapy slot for you every week, so when it goes unused, it is a lost opportunity for someone who could have used that time slot.

  • $195 for a 50 minute session

  • I am not on insurance panels but can provide monthly superbills for you to submit to your insurance so you can seek reimbursement for out of network therapy. I also accept FSA/HSA payment.

  • I usually work with clients for a minimum of 6 months, but most clients stay for at least a year or two. As you begin to feel better and have made good progress on your goals, we may move to every other week sessions for a couple months.

And typically after that, if you’re handling problems pretty well on your own, or finding you have fewer and fewer difficult things to talk about in sessions, it is probably time for graduation, which is a good thing!

Upon graduation, we move to you scheduling as needed appointments for whenever life’s bumps come up. I love seeing former clients for tune-ups and providing support for new problems that may arise. I several have clients who I sitll work with from when I first started my private practice in 2016!

  • Monday-Thursday 11am-5pm

  • I typically have at least 1 or 2 openings.

  • At this point in my career, I mostly use Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) because it works long-term and it just makes sense to me. I use it to deal with problems in my own life and it’s helpful for pretty much any issue I encounter. I also like that it’s action oriented so you actually have something useful to do when you feel stuck.

I also have training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) which i find most useful in helping folks with relationship problems. Using this modality I will help you learn about better communication, how to handle conflict, setting boundaries, and asking for your needs.

Additionally I have expertise in Motivational Interviewing (MI), which is a type of therapy aimed at helping you when you are unmotivated or uncertain about making changes. I ask specific types of questions to help you work through ambivalence and figure out what your priorities are. The goal is to help you start taking action in a way that feels authentic to you.

Life transitions therapy

Why choose therapy with Chloe Demisch, LCSW?

I offer a unique perspective shaped by a decade of clinical work as a social worker. Prior to starting my private practice in 2016, I provided mental health treatment in jail and hospital settings with primarily marginally housed, homeless folks who struggled with addiction and severe mental illness. This professional background has prepared me to tackle the most complex psychological issues and allows me to provide you with a curious and hopeful attitude. You will find an open mind and an open heart in psychotherapy with me so can comfortably talk about the things that make you scared, sad, angry, or ashamed. I’m here for the hard stuff!

I’ve helped people from all walks of life, with all kinds of difficulties. I use creativity and relatability to help clients feel safe and understood. Get unbiased support and learn new skills to help you flow through life more flexibly. Book a free 10 minute therapy consultation with me to learn more!

Candor + Care

I want my clients to feel comfortable and understood.  I am not a buttoned-up “suit and tie” kind of gal.

A familiar and optimistic style tends to fit best with clients who seek my help.  In therapy sessions, I balance support, care, and honesty, with a dash of humor.

Using everyday language and avoiding overly complicated psychological jargon helps us be on the same page.

I find what makes you unique and capitalize on that.

Why ACT works

ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) works because it’s not just a quick fix.  ACT is a long-term mindset that is applicable in every situation.

Many therapies teach you to do things to make yourself feel better quickly.  Unfortunately these tactics are short-lived and usually you find yourself back in the same difficult place over and over again.  ACT teaches us that difficulty is normal and pain is not something to be feared. ACT focuses on creating a rich, purposeful life. When we do something meaningful, it is usually difficult and takes us out of our comfort zone. But if we are willing to make room for the challenges that come with working towards our dreams, nothing will stop us!

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy gets you results because just like its name, ACT is all about ACTion!  You will have something to show for all your efforts at overcoming obstacles and unraveling unhelpful thought patterns.

When we just stay stuck in our head, we waste a lot of time.  The energy you spent dwelling on the past, or worrying about the future, will instead be put to use doing something meaningful, something worthwhile, something life-changing!
