How to help work burnout

Therapy for imposter syndrome & confidence building

You don’t believe in yourself the same way your team believes in you

Lack of confidence is more common than you’d think — Especially in the workplace.

“Imposter syndrome” is real.  There’s a lot of pressure out there.  Competition can leave you feeling inadequate and second-guessing your every move.

When you don’t have enough confidence in yourself, you may fall behind your colleagues and not meet your professional goals.

I will guide you through exercises to teach you ways to deal with self-doubt, negative self talk, and fear of failure.

Together we will also identify what your values are so you know what is most important to you.

When you know who you truly are, your confidence will be unshakable!

Get help with work burnout

If going to work every day is making you feel like a hamster on a wheel, you might be experiencing workplace burnout.

Perhaps you make a decent salary, but your 9-5 is leaving you feeling exhausted, bored, or resentful.   Sometimes that “dream job” turns out to be very different from what we imagined.

Your energy is sapped, you are not inspired, and you begin to find yourself daydreaming about switching jobs.  That’s where I come in!

It is also very likely you are not even sure what steps to take next.  Here’s an example of an exercise you and I can do together to solidify your decision.

Work burnout exercise

Changing jobs can be scary and overwhelming.  Sometimes it means moving to a new city, going back to school, or taking a pay cut.

I can help you find your path.  Together we can review all your options and process the pros and cons to help you make this important decision.

Counseling for managing work conflicts

The skills you read about on my relationships page regarding how to handle conflict, are the same ones you’ll be practicing at work.

Whether it’s with coworkers or your manager, good communication and conflict management are essential in the workplace.  You will learn more about this in therapy with me.

I can teach you how to “manage up”, increase productivity, be a better manager, and understand the value of teamwork.

You will also learn how to be more assertive in asking for what you want and setting limits when you’re overwhelmed so you’re ready to navigate any work conflict that comes your way.

Find work-life balance

Working long nights means less time for relaxing with friends and family. It can also lead to more difficulty eating regular healthy meals, and forgetting to take care of your mental health.

Early morning meetings, traveling for work, and packed schedules leaves you little time for exercise, taking care of errands, or practicing self-care.

Part of our work together will be helping you get back on track with a healthy routine.  Learning how to make time for the little things that might not seem that important - but without them you’re left feeling burned out.

Together, I can teach you about healthy boundaries, self-respect, and learning when to say “no”.
