I am a licensed clinical social worker living in San Francisco with 12 years of experience in community mental health in the Bay Area. Most recently I worked for 6 years with UCSF's Department of Psychiatry providing therapy and case management for adults with severe mental illnesses. I am now full-time with my own psychotherapy practice, a dream I have had since a child.
In my private practice, I am passionate about helping people who are uncertain of their next move or need a little motivation getting started. I strongly believe in the power of validation. Too often our feelings and experiences are invalidated by society, our family, and friends. The cornerstone of our therapy together will be to help you feel heard and understood in an atmosphere of legitimization and respect. My clients have found that within this supportive environment, they gain insight and direction.
Outside of work I enjoy composing piano music, dancing, sewing, hiking, and exploring the gorgeous Bay Area. Creativity, music, and my love for nature heavily inform my therapy practice, values, and identity.
